KUALA LUMPUR: Emirates Airline is the official airline for the coming MATTA Fair.
The Middle East airline was chosen due to its vast global network, said Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) president Datuk Hamzah Rahmat.
It flies to 154 destinations in 80 countries worldwide, he added.
“With this partnership in place, I am sure visitors will be able to grab more attractive choices at the fair,” he told a press conference at MATTA headquarters yesterday.
This MATTA Fair will be held at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) here from Sept 2 to 4, and Straits Quay in Penang from Sept 23 to 25.
Hamzah said the airline also sponsored eight flight tickets, including a roundtrip Business Class ticket from Kuala Lumpur to London, for the MATTA Fair Buyers’ Contest.
“Those who purchase travel packages, costing a minimum of RM300, would be entitled to join the competition,” he added.
This year marks the 20th year of Emirates Airline’s operations in Malaysia since it launched flights to Kuala Lumpur in October 1996.
Its country manager for Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei, Andrew Bunn, said the partnership with MATTA served as a good platform for the company to reward its loyal customers while reaching out to new ones.
“We are very pleased to provide Malaysians with more opportunities for seamless connections and world-class travel experiences at attractive prices,” he added.
Head to Hall 1M at the fair to participate in the Emirates contest with exciting giveaways and a photography session with its cabin crew.
