PROGRAM: 16 DAYS 15 NIGHTS Self Drive Exploring Malaysia
LOCATION: Kuala Lumpur, Melaka, Kuantan & Kuala Terengganu, Kota Bharu, Penang, Cameron Highlands, Pangkor Island.

ITINERARY
Day 1 Kuala Lumpur
Arrive at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, you will be met and transferred to respective hotel.
Overnight at Hotel.

Day 2 Half Day Kuala Lumpur City Tour – SIC Basis (Breakfast)
Discover the exciting landmarks of the city. View the splendour of the King’s Palace and pass by the impressive Parliament House. Share our glorious past at the National Museum. Visit the National Monument at Lake Garden. Then pass by the National Mosque and the Railway station.
Next will be photo stop at the Independence Square and lastly enjoy an intriguing drive around Chinatown.
Rest of the day at leisure.
Overnight at Hotel.

Day 3 Kuala Lumpur - Melaka (Breakfast)
Car rental will send the car to your hotel at 10:00hrs. Self drive to Melaka.
Suggest spots to visit in Melaka:-

  • Baba and Nyonya Museum
  • Melaka Sultanate Palace
  • Jonker Street

Overnight in Melaka.

Day 4 Melaka – Kuantan (Breakfast)
After breakfast, self drive to East Coast - Kuantan
On the way, you may pay a visit to Pekan Royal Town. There are several places of interest located within the town. The Sultan Abu Bakar Museum, which serves as a repository of historical and culture artifacts. Get a taste of Malay architecture by stopping by the Sultan Abu Bakar Palace, the official residence of the state’s sultan. Make a photography at the beautiful arch gate of the palace. As Pekan is located at the mouth of Pahang River, water transport has dominated the history of transportation and communication of the town. Visit the Watercraft Gallery to view various water crafts that were used as mode of transport and to carry goods into and out of the town through the times.

Day 5 Kuantan – Kuala Terengganu (Breakfast)
Breakfast at hotel. Depart to Kuala Terengganu via Cherating. The main attractions of Cherating includes visiting a Pandanus weaving center to see how “mengkuang” leaves being weaved into bags, mats, and other local handicrafts. Also witness the traditional way of gathering coconuts.
Continue your journey to north pass by Rantau Abang, where the giant leatherback turtles come ashore annually to lay their eggs. Visit the Turtle Information Centre before proceeding onwards to Kuala Terengganu where you can take a stop at “Floating Mosque”.
Overnight in Kuala Terengganu.

Day 6 Kuala Terengganu – Kota Bharu (Breakfast)
Breakfast at hotel. The day begins early with a self exploring tour of the Kuala Terengganu. You may visit Pulau Duyong, a traditional boat building village. Continue with Crystal Mosque and Terengganu State Museum before proceeding to Kota Bharu.
Head northwards to Kota Bharu, passing through many local villages. The rest of the day is free to explore the town.
Overnight in Kota Bharu.

Day 7 Kota Bharu – Penang (Breakfast)
The day starts with an early morning departure for a fascinating journey from the East to the West of the Peninsular Malaysia, driving through the main mountain range with offerings of breathtaking views of the tropical rain forest. Take a rest stop at Belum Forest Resort, a remote resort over-looking the scenic Temenggor Lake.
Continue your journey to the longest bridge in Southeast Asia – Penang Bridge.
Drive to Ferringhi Beach, check in resort and free at own leisure.
Overnight in Penang.

Day 8 Penang (Breakfast)
Breakfast at hotel.

Day 10 Penang – Cameron Highlands (Breakfast)
Today you will be leaving Penang, self drive to Cameron Highlands. Continue your journey southwards passing miles of rubber and palm oil plantations on your way to the delightful vacation area of Cameron Highlands.
Overnight in Cameron Highlands.

Day 11 Cameron Highlands (Breakfast)
Free at own leisure in Cameron Highlands.
Places of interest: Tea plantation, strawberry farm, cactus farm, butterflies park.
Besides, your option to have a sumptuous afternoon tea at the famous Smoke House.
Overnight in Cameron Highlands.

Day 12 Cameron Highlands – Lumut Jetty - Pangkor Island (Breakfast)
Self drive to Lumut Jetty. Park the car at the parking space and proceed to Lumut Public Jetty. Depart by Ferry to Pangkor Island. Check in and free at leisure.
Overnight at Pangkor Island.

Day 13-14 Pangkor Island  (Breakfast)
Free at own leisure.
Overnight in Pangkor Island.

Day 15 Pangkor Island – Lumut Jetty – Kuala Lumpur (Breakfast)
Depart resort by ferry to Lumut Jetty. Upon arrival Lumut Jetty, continue self drive journey back to Kuala Lumpur. Check-in hotel and free at leisure.
Overnight in Kuala Lumpur.

Day 16 Good bye Malaysia (Breakfast)
Breakfast at hotel.
You will be transferred to Kuala Lumpur Airport at the prefixed time for your onwards journey.
